QDNYC Allen Harbor Racing – 2023 Monday Night Series

Dear PHRF Sailors and Competitors,
The QDNYC invites you to compete in our Monday Night PHRF Racing Series. This is a friendly racing series currently with two cruising divisions (non-spinnaker) and a spinnaker class for the brave at heart. We encourage boats and sailors new to racing.
The first race will be held Monday, 5 June, and continue every Monday evening with the final race August 28. Each race will be followed by Race scoring and social gathering at the QDNYC clubhouse.
There will be a Captains’ Meeting on Monday, 22 May @ 6:30 PM, at the QDNYC Clubhouse at Allen Harbor. We will discuss Racing rules of sailing, pointers and tips and general information. If you are planning to start on 6 June, please help us by completing your entry submission by this time.
All regular race series communications will be by e-mail. All required forms and race documents are posted below. The forms should be submitted as required with document copies kept on the boat. Weekly results will be e-mailed to skippers and posted on the QDNYC website.
The requirements for race participation are a:
• Completed and signed Entry Form
• Valid 2023 PHRF-NB rating certificate (from https://www.phrf-nb.org/get-rating)
• Certificate of Liability Insurance
• Signed Release, Waiver, and Retention of Rights Agreement Form
Please return all required forms and fee via e-mail or postal mail to me at the address shown below, preferably by 23 May.
Please also encourage your friends and acquaintances to join us. They can print out required forms from the web page or they can copy yours. We’re looking forward to an exciting season of racing. If you’d like to race but do not have an official PHRF yet, a temporary rating can be assigned based on your boat type.
